(Bess Greenberg), the Binghamton-based band pushes boundaries of genre, channeling the spirit of groups such as Pink Floyd and songwriters like Joni Mitchel and Bob Dylan. Influenced by a collage of rock, world, and traditional sounds, the band continues to bend boundaries, creating innovative yet timeless sound experience. With poetic words, carnal passion, powerhouse vocals, and an intoxicating blend of sonic layering, KidBess & The Magic Ring continues to carve out their own unique space within the wide collection of heart and mind-expanding music.

Greenberg’s raspy timbre, rooted in the bluesy tradition of Grace Slick and Janis Joplin, provides a layer of grit and intensity to the sound of their ethereal soundscapes, exhibiting a level of emotional depth and authenticity appreciated in contemporary times; at moments the music could be referred to as “poetic punk". But their on-stage chemistry eloquently prevails with giant waves of unified dynamics. The vocal heart, is cradled, harmonized and catapulted by the brilliant haunting swells of "The Magic Ring”: cellist Jeff McAuley, guitarist Joe Alston, bassist Mike Amadeo and drummer Moses Valle. Together the band weaves a textured web of emotive sonic waves that amplify Greenberg’s intimate genuine words; melted together, the sound will hold you close, rock your core and send chills down your spine.
